Water Care Guide
Why Proper Water Care Matters
Clean, balanced water protects the skin, keeps the whirlpool hygienic, prevents scale and corrosion, and ensures the massage pumps work efficiently. Good maintenance also reduces long-term operating costs.
Chemical Safety Checks
- Always follow the instructions on the chemical packaging and your manufacturer manual.
- Never mix chemicals together. Add products to water separately.
- Store chemicals out of reach of children and away from heat/moisture.
- If irritation, strong odor, or unusual water conditions occur, stop use and consult a professional.
The Essentials You'll Need
- Water test strips or digital tester
- pH and alkalinity adjusters
- Disinfectant: chlorine, bromine, or active oxygen
- Shock treatment (oxidiser)
- Filter cleaner
- Approved whirlpool surface cleaner
Weekly Water Care Routine
- Test the water 2–3 times per week (pH 7.0–7.6, balanced alkalinity)
- Adjust pH if values are outside the recommended range
- Maintain disinfectant levels according to manufacturer instructions
- Shock-treat once a week to remove organic residues and keep water fresh
- Run circulation for 15–20 minutes after adding any product
Filter Care
- Rinse filters every 1–2 weeks
- Deep-clean with a filter solution monthly
- Replace filters as recommended by your whirlpool manufacturer
Refreshing the Water
- Drain and refill every 3–4 months (more often with heavy use)
- Clean the inner surfaces with a whirlpool-safe cleaner before refilling
- After adding fresh water, rebalance and disinfect immediately
Quick Troubleshooting
Check filter, shock-treat, adjust pH
Rinse filters, reduce cosmetic/oil buildup with a clarifier
Disinfectant too low—shock treatment required
pH too high—adjust down
